Lo Siento Me No Speako Espanol!!

The famous words my friends will never let me forget.  When delivering gifts from the Angel Tree program to a Latino family in Provo I was the one who was chosen to do the Spanish speaking.  As soon as I knocked on the door ready to deliver the presents and wish them a Feliz Navidad my 4 years of spanish classes flew out the window and I blurted "Feliz Christmas! Lo siento, me no speako Espanol!"

I guess Heavenly Father and the general authorities are willing to give me another shot at it though because I have been called to the Chile Santiago East mission speaking....... you guessed it SPANISH!!

I report to the Chile MTC on August 14th.  I. Am. So. EXCITED!!!!!

What made my night even better was that I got to share it with my sister Mallory.  We got our calls at the exact same time and She will be serving in the Argentina Buenos Aires West mission leaving Sept 11! Our missions are practically right next to each other!!

I am so glad that I got to share such a special night with so many people that I love and care about.  Seriously all of these people mean the world to me, it will be tough leaving them to serve the Lord but it will most definitely be worth it!!

Just a Leeeetle Emotional

Ok. Lets be real.  I am WAAAAAY past just a little emotional.  Why? Because I woke up today and realized that I only have 15 days left with my best friend.  15.  I may or may not have cried today. Ok I've been crying on and off non-stop all day.  As I was cooking dinner, I got far too many tears in my pasta-roni.  MMMM salty.  In fact, I'm crying right now.  I thought I had everything in check and then my phone buzzed, I looked over and it said incoming call from Nikora.  Crap more tears.

I've been given a lot of advice pertaining to my relationship with Nik, lots about not getting too close so it won't be too hard when he leaves.  Agh its gonna feel like death for a bit, but I wouldn't give up the memories for the world.  I'm so humbled to see how much the Lord has blessed me with by sending me Nikora, my bestest friend. Now that the Lord has blessed me with one fantastic year of spending time with Nik, there's no better way I can give back to the Lord than by dedicating 18 months of my life to serve a mission, and giving up Nikora so that he may serve his mission.  After all, our lives aren't really ours, we are in the Lord's hands and in order to be happy we must do all we can to spend our lives in his service.  I can't wait to do that.

BUT.  Until then. I just might be a little sad. Only because it's been so happy.  So so so so so freakin happy.

I'm gonna miss just bein a goof with him.  We do that a lot.

P.S.  Samantha Turpin, if you have any boy tips to help me out on this one I'd greatly appreciate it hahaha.  I'm sorry but the "shoulder touch" probably won't help out much in this situation ;) .

Mission Crazy

Well I submitted my papers to my bishop (thanks dad) and had my first interview!!!! Holy Cow.  I turn my papers in in 64 hours and 10 minutes.  Sunday cannot come any faster.  I can't even believe that FINALLY I am "catching the wave." I have been waiting to turn in my papers for months!! And I'm almost there!!! On April 14th I will finally be 120 days from my availability date!!!! I'm seriously going to go crazy.  I've been watching news specials about missionary work, Facebook stalking people with calls, reading missionary quotes, buying missionary clothes (only like two skirts that you already saw mom and dad haha theres no need to worry), and eavesdropping on all of the BYU student's mission conversations. Seriously that is all people talk about.  They were talking about Russian missions on the bus to school, getting suits fitted on the way to Asian Humanities, the new MTC housing at lunch, and a million other things everywhere I went.  AAAAGGGGGGHHHHH GET ME OUT THERE!!! SEND ME A CALL!!!!! I JUST WANT TO GO ALREADY!!! I. AM. SO. EXCITED!!!!  I've stalked way too many missionary blogs today its not even funny.

The other thing thats been on my mind: Nikora leaves in 20 days.  20 DAYS.  Holy cow what in the world am I gonna do? I am soooo excited for him.  Agh he's gonna love it.  But I am gonna miss him.  SOOOOOOOO BAD.

Any who.  Here are some pics from a fun day of running around taking random pictures.  It may be death by pictures. Just a warning. It originally started out as an attempt to take a picture for me to send in with my papers but it ended up in a wall jumping, hair flipping, tree climbing adventure :)

Me and ma best friend :)

Yes we are being abducted by aliens

Haha this one looked like I was trying to headbutt Cassidy

Yay for jumping pics

Cass wasn't quite ready haha

Climbing a tree :)

Photobomb!!

Nik didn't get the smiling memo...

I think my face too easily betrays the awkward and uncomfortable position I was in...

I don't even know....Nik being Nik

Roomie Pic!! Cute....
Move your face and make sounds until the camera clicks :)

Not sure what this was....

Make the ugliest face possible....

Make a star with your mouth?? Obvious fail....

Duck Lips.

Trying to get out of the tree. What followed was not in the least bit graceful.

I think we were trying to make a face like there was something moldy in the sink? I didn't get the memo.

And thats it for my college/mission prep life!! I'll keep you posted as my call gets closer!!
